What Is the Difference Between an MSP and an MSSP?
A Managed Service Provider (MSP) is a corporation that offers a variety of IT services to other enterprises, including network administration, cloud computing, and data backup and recovery.

An MSP performs all IT-related responsibilities and ensures that the systems are working smoothly. A Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) is a sort of MSP that specializes in security services.

An MSSP usually provides intrusion detection and prevention services, vulnerability scanning, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and incident response.

The primary purpose of an MSSP is to identify, prevent, and respond to security threats.

While both MSPs and MSSPs provide IT services, the primary distinction is that an MSSP concentrates solely on security-related services. While an MSP may provide certain security services, an MSSP specializes on security and may offer more comprehensive security solutions.
